About Rikki's Refuge

Supported entirely by donations from kind and loving individuals, Rikki's Refuge in Orange County, Virginia, is a 450 acre, no-kill, all species peaceful sanctuary supported solely by donations of kind and loving individuals. The refuge is home to over 1200 animals of over 20 different species, including but not limited to cats, dogs, sheep, goats, rabbits, pigs, emus, chickens, ducks, geese, a chukar, peacocks, and more. It is owned and operated by Life Unlimited of Virginia, Inc. an approved not-for profit Virginia Corporation and IRS tax code 501(c)(3) corporation as determined by the IRS. Federal Tax-ID number 54-1911042. A financial statement is available upon written request from the State Office of Consumer Affairs.

THIS WEEK’S SATURDAY DONATION DROP-OFF 2/21/15
Here’s what we need: URGENT NEED FOR CANNED DOG FOOD, Bleach, Dry Dog Food, Scrub Sponges, Wild Bird Seed, Paper Towels, Dry Cat Food, Dish Soap. Laundry Detergent, and Large Heavy Duty Trash Bags.

Kitty Litter-Ature Children’s Reading Program

KIDS, Ages 6-11, join us on Saturday, February 21st from 10 AM – 12 Noon for our Kitty Litter-Ature Children’s Reading Program. Read to and with the animals at our Life Center.

We can use your old kitchen cabinets!

Are you remodeling your kitchen? Are you looking for a new home for your old cabinets? We can use them at Rikki’s! We are looking for cabinets to store dry cat food in each cat house. Right now we are using plastic bins that have to be moved every day at cleaning. Email lollyb65@gmail.com if you or someone you know may be able to help us!! You never know unless you ask, so…..we are asking!

In Memory of Theresa B. Smallwood

We are so sorry to pass on the news that animal lover Theresa B. Smallwood has crossed over to meet Vincent. It was very sudden and unexpected. She went to bed, and did not get up. Our prayers go out to Steve and Denise Smallwood and the rest of her family.
