It’s Black Cat Appreciation Day!

Okay, today is the day — August 17th is Black Cat Appreciation Day!7703960594_ef6a264da3_o

In honor of our beloved black cats we prepared a Kindle book — unfortunately, Amazon is not playing nicely with us and the book has not gone live yet.

So we have turned our Kindle book into a PDF that you can download — we’ll let you know when the actual book goes live.

Grab your Black Cat Appreciation Day PDF, and if you can, please make a donation to help all the black cats at Rikki’s. Thank you!

UPDATE: We just got word from Amazon that they are in process of publishing our book, so we had to take down the PDF. The book link will be live in a few hours and we will post that link here the minute it is available. If you really, really just wanted the PDF, send an email to: mail@rikkisrefuge.org with the heading: “Kathy, Send My Black Cat PDF” and we’ll send you a free copy of the book in PDF format.

Independence Day

Celebrate with the critters at Rikki’s!

Our tgreen eyesour starts at noon and lasts approximately two hours. You will meet the many animals who call the Refuge home. Come dressed for the weather and hiking as it is all outdoors. Animals love sparklies and danglies so no jewelry, loose strings, fringe etc. is recommended

Our Nature Hike through the fields and woods will follow the tour at 2pm. Maybe we will see some of our wildlife residents!

Vote Every Day!

Vote for Rikki’s Refuge and we could win grants ranging from $500 to $10,000 each to help pets in need between now and April 28, 2013. There’s even new categories of prizes like shelter beds and vaccinations for animals that could really help us cut our expenses and have even more in our budget to care for rescued pets.

Think how many animals we could help with $10,000!
