JANUARY 20th is NATIONAL PENGUIN AWARENESS DAY !!!
And we try to have fun at Rikki’s !!! That’s what makes it fun while we clean up over 600 pounds of poop every day, clean up snotty noses, give medicine, get bit and clawed, every day … day after day …. We have to see the love in our animals’ eyes and keep laughing and having fun !!!!

Waldo has been nominated as Rikki’s Penguins of the Day !!!

Camelot entered the running for Penguin of the Day

but he won centerfold of the day !!!

Wilbur

said his coloring was right and it’s discrimination that gets those cats all the attention !!! He was considering a hunger strike, but quickly changed his mind when breakfast arrived.

How do I grow as BIG as you?

Start by eating ALL that hay.

There’s real work to be done around here

Yup. And you know why? When you can’t get the cat to the box. You take the box to the cat and everyone lives much happier. So much easier to climb up to keep it clean there, than to clean what would be there without it !!!! At Rikki’s, it’s ALL about the animals !!!

Look at the depth of the transverse ridges in this goat’s horns !

most of our goats have much smoother horns. But they all have different ones. They point in different directions and curve or not. Horns are so interesting !!!




And some goats are born without horns.

Well they’re all born without horns. Thankfully, say the mama oats !! But some will just never grow horns.
