Volunteers came out from MPS today to help us get started with grounds maintenance for the year !!!! A great big huge to EVERYONE of you !!! And to MPS for supporting your Volunteer Work Day.

We’re also in dire need of three good working gas powered lawn mowers. Ready to replace yours with a nice new one? How about donating your old one to Rikki’s. Do you fix up old lawn equipment and sell for a little extra income? Would you be willing to donate one?

The large fields are mowed with the tractor and bush hog, but dog runs, cat areas, near buildings, and so forth need the smaller mower for closer or confined work.

PLEASE do not buy us brand new mowers. Used ones are just fine. They’re in operation so many hours that life on them is rough at the refuge and they don’t last. Even the new expensive ones. We are looking for USED but running mowers !!
