Lil Peep

Meet LIL PEEP.

 

LIL PEEP came to live at Rikki’s Refuge this past summer with her three siblings NUGGET, BUBBLES, and WADDLES. They are Magpie ducks and all four are very sweet and very close with one another. This cutie, LIL PEEP, broke her leg and had surgery to put a pin in it. Her humans knew that she needed a safer place to grow up and so she and her siblings came to their new forever home at Rikki’s Refuge.

Although LIL PEEP may have a limp for the rest of her life, it does not affect her quality of living at all. She is a happy, happy girl!

Every year during this holiday season, our tireless volunteers show up at various area Barnes & Noble bookstores to wrap Christmas gifts for their customers. It’s a free service, but we ask for donations. It puts Rikki’s in the public eye, and makes us money, too. But, this year, thanks to the pandemic, we will not be wrapping for Rikki’s. So, perhaps you could help us out, and make a donation to chip away at our shortfall here!

Sweet Penelope!

Goofy Penelope!  She is just an adorable, if very active, fractious, and unpredictable mix of a dog!  Too crazy for one family, not suited for the next, tore up stuff in the house and did uh-ohs on the floor in the next.

In her short time with us, she’s already learning social skills, though she may never be a typical doggy!  She fits in just fine with all us misfits at Rikki’s Refuge!! We love everybody no matter what their imperfection is!!

It’s FIVE DOLLAR FRIDAY! Small donations add up and help to support the animals we have rescued at Rikki’s Refuge. For the price of a large coffee at Starbucks, you can feed a few animals today! $5 buys 20 meals! Freckles the Cow

Freckles is extremely beautiful! He’s the most unique boy in town, I mean look at those horns!! It’s SO tempting to want to give him a hug, but Freckles is not an attention seeking guy…he doesn’t really appreciate it. But you know what? Even if he prefers to keep his distance from most of us, we love him with all our hearts. We would never subject Freckles to unwanted attention, and we don’t think any less of him for keeping away. Sanctuary means Freckles’ life is lived on his terms.
