Paws
for Prayers
Twice
daily Kerry sends out a special prayer for all of Rikki's' animals,
for everyone who makes Rikki's possible and for those they share
their lives with and care for all the animals of the world. If
you'd like a special mention in Rikki's prayers for you or a loved
one (number of legs inconsequential) please let her know and she
will be happy to include them.

Our chapel will be finished soon. You'll be able to come and light a
candle for your beloved who's crossed the Rainbow Bridge and sit awhile
while you savor their wonderful memories.
Make a donation in their
honor and we'll light the candle and say a prayer for you and them. W hat a special way to let someone know you're thinking of them at the
time of their loss.
March 2006
Quillen has gone over the Bridge to join his brother Beauregard
Benjamin. He is survived by his family of two and four leggeds, Candy,
Paul, Gretel, Ariel and Inkjet.
Our volunteer Loretta is recovering from surgery. Kris's dad is very ill.
Kerry's Dad is back in the hospital for the third time following
surgery, please, please, keep your fingers, paws and claws crossed for him.
William and Thunder, two of our Feluk kids are very ill, please send
love and prayers, Fancy Feast and Tuna.
Jake, 9 year old Beagle and snuggle buddy of Nancy is recovering from a
spinal injury.
Rush, in Rikki's Assisted living section has responded very well to
physical therapy and is walking.
February 2006
Sweet Pea, our beloved bovine lost her long fight with cancer and has
crossed the bridge.
Nanny Goat has fully recovered. It only took three gallons of kaopectate.
Shadow, the black real ratty looking long haired guy in the Assisted
Living section who had a stroke several years ago, is recovering from
his cold and eating well. He'd love some Fancy Feast. We've been out
for several days now.
Pray for my Dad who's recovering from more and more complications of gall
bladder surgery in Florida.
Francesca, who has been very depressed and fighting a nasty cold is
getting better. She'd like some deli chicken slices.
Prayers for a full and complete recovery for Steve.
Prayers for Arnda, wishing that her surgery was successful and she's on
her feet with less pain very soon.
Binky, a feluk kid, is still fighting an infection in her foot. Pray
that she heals without needing too much more soaking and without too
many more puncture wounds to her caretakers.
Buddy the goat is fighting another nasty bladder infection. The poor
guy was very sick last winter and ended up with permanent nerve damage
in his hind legs. And it's been on again, off again bladder problems
for months now.
Rufus the adorable beagle basset dog, with the funny little short legs
that turn out, is just starting to want to bounce after difficult neuter
surgery. He was mono-cryptorchid and required pretty extensive surgery
the other day.
Frisky, the big beautiful long haired white cat who spent so many
months in the Assisted Living department, crossed the Rainbow Bridge
most unexpectedly. He had extensive dental surgery several times.
Finally he was recovering and off pain medication. He was running and
playing, eating well and gaining his weight back. He gobbled down
lunch and a couple hours later was found sleeping soundly in a kitty
condo. A bit too soundly it seemed. And when Mary went to rouse him,
she discovered he'd left us.
Meredith and Juan, we're all sorry for your loss, we've been praying for
you.
